A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all my readers - and I hope some of you enjoy Living the Braced Fantasy or some of the other Dr.Samantha Wrighting books over the holidays too!

Living the Braced Fantasy!

It's here!

Living the Braced Fantasy is now available - on Kindle in the US (and the UK and all the other Kindles too), and as an ePub from Lulu, or as a print book from Lulu. (And it will soon be available in print from Amazon as well, just like I hope it will soon be available in iBooks and on Nook and all the other platforms).

It's 190 pages long and 80,000 words. The ebook costs $5.99, which I think is a really good price, and the print copy costs $18.95. Either way I think you are getting your money's worth!

Here is the blurb description:

Living the Braced Fantasy  –  the orthodontic Fifty Shades of Grey!

Sally was one of those girls who didn’t mind having braces when she was a kid. She was even disappointed that the experience was over so quickly and that she didn’t get to wear some of the accessories other kids got. Now in her twenties, the thought or sight of braces still makes her tingle. When she discovers her boyfriend, Jacob, is also drawn to braces she decides to risk it and try living the braced fantasy. Orthodontist Dr.Samantha Wrighting is willing to indulge her for a year – but there are some conditions. And there’s a price Jacob has to pay too. Sally gets braced – but can reality live up to her fantasy? Or does having braces turn out to be better than anything in her wildest imagination?

Braces, elastics, retainers, headgear and more: Sally faces it all. Is it too much for her? Is it too much for Jacob? Or is living the braced fantasy really the greatest climax of them all?

Living the Braced Fantasy is the fourth Erotic Orthodontic Encounter from Intraoral Press..
I think readers will really like this – but it definitely is an Erotic Orthodontic Encounter, so it is for more mature readers, not younger braces patients!

I'm really excited about this and I hope you are too. I don't know if this might be the breakout novel in the Dr.Samantha Wrighting series, but from the results of the readers' survey I think I've really packed it with what readers are looking for.

Almost there...

So I hope I can offer you a Christmas surprise...the new book is almost finished! I still have to check for mistakes, and then prepare it for publishing in the different formats, but I think it should be ready soon. (I'm also having someone read it to check for mistakes which makes me nervous because of the story and what they'll think. She's a good friend but still!)

What I can tell you:

The title is Living the Braced Fantasy and that's also what the story is about, so I hope that makes you curious and interested!

It's not the really big project I've been working on for such a long time but instead it's a book that tries to give readers what they want. So I took your answers to the reader's survey and tried to write a story around that which covered a lot of what you want to read about. (I think it's a good story too)

It's about 200 pages long.

And Cecilia from Bracing Times with Cecilia plays a small role in it. But she's not the main character.

I hope to update with the good news that the book is available soon!

Halloween update

I thought I would be finished much earlier with the new book but I really am only able to get to it in fits and spurts. Very frustrating! But at least I am closing in on finishing one new project, so I hope I won't have to make you wait too much longer and you'll have some fun winter reading! Sorry it's taking so long.

July update

Glad to be back home for a few weeks vacation, even if that means we can't follow the Olympics quite as live and up close. But that's also for the better in many respects. And we seem to have timed it well, as it is not so witheringly hot anymore as it was here a few weeks ago.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that vacation time also allows for some writing time and that I can finally finish off the next Dr.Wrighting novel. It's going well and getting there, but there's a lot to do. And there's also a lot to do on "vacation" which keeps me from finishing it. But I will ! Maybe even before we get back to England..

Monthly update

I am getting a lot of work done on the next Dr.Wrighting novel, and I really like how it is working so far. It's another Erotic Orthodontic Encounter, and I hope I'm managing to get a lot of what readers are looking for into the story. I really like the idea I have for it, so I want to make sure I do it right. I don't want to waste this good setup!

I'm not sure how much longer it will take. Stuff always seems to get in the way and I can only write so fast, even when I find the time. But the Jubilee celebrations have helped, giving me time to get a lot more done!

Braces and acting

Anna Chlumsky, who was the girl in the movie "My Girl", is in some new American TV show. She seemed to be out of acting for a long time and here I found the reason she gives why she couldn't get any roles as a teen:
Then the teen years hit, and she couldn't land any roles. Why? "Braces and boobs. I got both of them," she reveals in a Chicago Sun-Times article.

The boobs presumably made it hard to cast her as a little kid any longer, of course, but I don't think most directors would have objected to those too much. The braces, on the other hand....

I wonder if Lights, Camera, Braces! would have made it easier for her to get through those braced years!

Amazon review !

An Amazon review of Love and Braces has been posted! The first review on Amazon of any Intraoral Press titles - and a thorough and long one, too (4 stars, too!). I always skim through Amazon reviews when I'm thinking of buying a book, so I think it's really helpful to have them on the listing page, and this way readers get more information about the book.

Thanks, MikeFXB !

(And I'm hard at work on the next Dr.Wrighting books - a whole range of them, including another Erotic Orthodontic Encounter one which I think is coming along really well.)

Dakota Fanning is all smiles...and then not

Styleist has a whole bunch of photos of Dakota Fanning from 2001 to now, showing her Style Evolution. It's fascinating to see how she has this huge broad grin when she's a little girl, but then at some point she clamps shut and doesn't show hear pearly whites any more. Fanning underwent a lot of orthodontic treatment, but she usually showed it off, including demonstrating hear reverse-pull headgear on Jay Leno. But it sure seems like there is some lingering self-consciousness about having had them. Maybe it just took a while to sink in.

The results are in!

Thank you so much to everybody who took the first Intraoral Press Reader Survey. It was great (and surprising) to learn what people like and what they want, and it will help me with some of the future IoPress books!

Here is our Intraoral Press Reader Survey analysis, which breaks down and discusses the results.

Several books are already in the works, so I don't know how well I will be able to apply some of these lessons and wishes yet, but eventually I should be able to use them in future books.

Lights, Camera, Braces! - new ebook!

Yes! There's a new Dr. Samantha Wrighting short out from Intraoral Press: Lights, Camera, Braces!

Like all the Dr. Samantha Wrighting shorts it is available only as an ebook. It's pretty substantial too: about 85 print pages or 32,000 words long, and it is available for only $2.99 from:
- Lulu (ePub format)
- on Kindle in the United States
- Kindle: UK
- Kindle: Germany
- Kindle: France

It should also be available as an iBook and on Nook soon

What's it about?
Twelve-year-old Ellenor plays Tabitha 'Tabs' Martin on the new hit TV series, Family Does It, but when Ellenor has to get braces, so does Tabitha. Instead of being the end of her career and life, like she worried, Ellenor becomes a role model and a star. But it comes at an enormous cost – braces! Lights, Action, Braces! is both the story of the everyday struggle of being someone with braces, and of being a star with braces.

This is a pretty tame braces story. It's suitable for all audiences, even younger kids, I think!
From the results of the Intraoral Press Reader Survey I see that a lot of you want more stuff with more sex and adult patients in it. There's none of that here, but I hope you still like the story and the descriptions of the experience of having braces!

But don't worry! More Erotic Orthodontic Encounters are also coming! I'll try to make the next one really raunchy ;-)

And thanks everybody who has taken the Intraoral Press Reader Survey (and if you haven't, please do!). The feedback is SO helpful! A bit surprising too. I'll write about the results soon. And while I can't take your wishes into account in all the books I'm already using some of the feedback for the next Erotic Orthodontic Encounter book, so I hope you'll really like that one.

There are now 9 Intraoral Press books to choose from! I hope you read them all!
