Weekly update

The print edition of The Braced Tease should be available on Amazon soon. I'm surprised that the e-book version is so popular, though no one has bought it on Kindle yet. I guess lots of readers like the downloadable version.

I hope readers are enjoying it (and all the other IoPress books!).

I am also working on a bigger project that I have been working on for a while but that I put aside for a long time. It's a really big novel, but I really like it.

Announcing "The Braced Tease"

There's a new short book out, The Braced Tease! It's not *officially* out yet - I still have to get a copy of the printed version to see that it looks ok - but the digital versions are definitely ok, and you can get it at:

Lulu: in print or download

On Kindle (UK)

This is another short book (80 pages, 27,000 words), and it is both An Erotic Orthodontic Encounter and A Dr. Samantha Wrighting novel.

It is less explicit than Notwithstanding Braces because I tried something different here. First of all, it's the first time I really have a boy as the main figure. Carl isn't even thirteen yet but he gets braces, and what the book explores is all the inner turmoil that goes on in boys that age, which is compounded by his getting braces. Of course only having had two daughters I'm not sure whether I got that totally right, but I let my imagination run a bit wild. Because he's so young and because he has braces there's no real sex of course, but the centerpiece of the book is an erotic orthodontic encounter which I hope captures all the feelings and urges and confusion of being that age and having braces. (It definitely is only for mature audiences, I think.)

I listened to some of the comments about Notwithstanding Braces and tried to develop the character of Carl better, building up to his getting braces and then the erotic encounter. I think it works as a complete story, but it's also only the beginning of his braces journey, and I hope readers will let me know if they want to hear more stories from Carl's journey.

I'll announce it when the book is *officially* published, but maybe you already want to read it....

Author Page at Amazon

I have an Author Page at Amazon now, which I hope will make it easier for readers to find all my different books. Four for now, but I hope to add a fifth soon!

I will add more information to the Author Page soon. The blog already appears there!

I'm surprised none of the books has gotten any Amazon reviews yet. Maybe I need to sell a lot more.

Notwithstanding sales!

I'm very excited that readers are interested and some have already bought my new short novel Notwithstanding Braces even though it's only available at Lulu for now (Amazon listing should appear soon, I hope, but it may take a few more weeks). Someone even bought it as a download, so they can read it right away. Maybe we'll get some feedback....? So other readers can know whether it's what they're looking for....

I really hope people like it. In some of the other manuscripts I'm working on I get into the sex some as well, but this is the most sustained attempt. I'm not sure how good I am at writing it yet but I think the book turned out very well.

More on "Notwithstanding Braces"

I've updated the Intraoral Press site too, so there's now a page for Notwithstanding Braces. And remember that you can already buy it from Lulu! (By the way, it's really impressive how easy it is to publish on Lulu now. If you've written a book you should really try it!)

Notwithstanding Braces is the first book in the Erotic Orthodontic Encounter series that I'd like to start. But it all depends on whether people like it (and buy it!). Writing about sex and braces is difficult because there are some limitations, like having the characters be adults. And writing sex scenes can be hard anyway. I had my husband advise me, suggesting what people might like more of and what didn't work so much. Overall I think it turned out really well.

It was also good writing practice. Notwithstanding Braces alternates points of view between the two characters, so you see how each of them is reacting and what they're thinking. And it's also written in the present tense, which makes you feel like you're right there, caught up in the action. At least that was the idea!

Anyway, I hope a lot of you are curious about it and check it out. And that you like it!

New book !

I'm so sorry that I haven't been updating. I've been writing a lot and not finishing anything. But now I finally have a new book finished. It's really short (only 54 pages) and isn't part of the Dr.Wrighting series. It's 'An Erotic Orthodontic Encounter', since I've been trying to write something involving sex and braces, which a lot of people seem to be looking for. I've been trying this a lot of different ways, but so far everything has been too ambitious and that's why I haven't finished them. This is short and sweet and to the point.I hope it's what people want!

So: the book is called Notwithstanding Braces and it's already available at Lulu. It will be available at Amazon soon - I'll let you know when! I hope it's inexpensive enough so that you'll try it, even though it's short.

Here's how I describe it:

Avia is in her early twenties, and for a year now she has had braces and everything that goes with them: no boyfriend, no romance, no sex. Now, on the last day of her vacation trip, she meets Raphael and he invites her for dinner. Is it the prelude to something more, or just more of the same? Can he really be interested in her, notwithstanding the braces? Catherine Aimes's new short novel weaves together the two stories of one unlikely night, the reader shuttled back and forth between what goes through Avia and Raphael's minds and all the surprises, passion and disappointments they encounter along the way.

Let me know if you like it, then I'll try to do more like it!

Retainer Girl on Kindle!

They don't have the Kindle e-reader here yet but I keep reading about it. Nobody has downloaded the e-versions of the books from Lulu but maybe Kindle is a more user-friendly platform so I decided to give it a try. So Retainer Girl is now available here on Kindle!

I made the price very low too for now, to see if anyone will buy it. Too bad they haven't put up the editorial descriptions yet so people could know what the book is about! But maybe some of you have Kindles and will want to check it out like that.

It's really easy to make the book available on Kindle so if this sells even a few copies I'll put the others up too.

There aren't too many other books about having braces on Kindle so maybe that will help!

I have so much other new stuff written down which I should get ready to publish too. I'm sorry I haven't published anything new in so long!
