What characters from the Dr.Samantha Wrighting novels have to say about "Brooke in Braces"

What characters from the Dr.Samantha Wrighting novels have to say about Brooke in Braces:

“Brooke bares her braces and her soul in this book, and it is this forthrightness as she faces up to her fears, concerns and simple day to day life in braces that makes this such a great story for anyone who has or is getting braces. I will certainly recommend this wonderful book to my patients to help them on their own braced journeys.”

– Dr.Allegretta , braces counselor and therapist

“I love this book! Even though I see kids getting braces every day in my mother’s practice, and even though I have lots of friends who have them, it often feels like such a solitary experience, even to me. Brooke really shares her experiences, and I love reading about them and comparing them to my own.”

– Natalie Wrighting, Dr.Wrighting’s braced daughter

“Where was Brooke in Braces when I had braces? This is exactly the book I wanted and needed to get me through my own braced years.”

– Lauren, from Retainer Girl

“Among my favorite mother-daughter memories is the one of reading Brooke in Braces with Emma as she was undergoing her own orthodontic treatment. It made it so much easier to talk about what she was going through, and we both learnt a lot about ourselves and each other in the process. Brooke’s experiences weren’t as adventurous or dramatic as those of some of the heroines in other books we read, but we could really relate to her. Even now, she is one of the characters who is dearest to our hearts, and the book one that we continue to cherish.”

– Pamela, from Bracing Daydreams

“A teenage girl going on for 300 pages about having braces? But I couldn’t get enough. Finally, a book that tells it like it is!”

– Cecilia St.Winthropson,
from Bracing Times with Cecilia

New book: Brooke in Braces

Yes, it's here! My new book, Brooke in Braces.

This is a bit different than the usual Dr.Samantha Wrighting novels. It's aimed at a younger audience, of kids who are getting braces or who have them. It tells their story, of what they can expect and what they go through — by having Brooke Dilston tell her story. It is: A very personal history of one girl's life & times & experiences with braces. And I hope it helps other kids with their experiences in braces..

This is a YA title. It even features a different orthodontist, since let's face it, Dr.Wrighting and the Dr.Wrighting experience are a bit intense....

It's already available in print from Lulu and should be available on Amazon and at other retailers in a few weeks. I'll let you know when.

It is also already available on Kindle, and as an e-book from Lulu, with the iBook and Nook and all the other platforms also hopefully available soon.

I know most readers prefer the Intraoral Press books as e-books, but I think this is one that parents and kids might really like to have as a printed book, to read again and again as they go through this journey of their own.

10 Year Anniversary!

Ten years ago I published Retainer Girl and I started this blog too! Time really flies when you're writing about braces.

Retainer Girl was the first Intraoral Press book and I've published an average of more than one a year ever since. It's great to see that the books are popular and I hope that they continue to get lots of new readers.

There's a new book coming, too. Something a bit different but not too different. It should be ready soon, so stay tuned. And meanwhile you can always go back and read the early classics, right?

Bracing for summer (and spring...)

OK it doesn't feel very much like spring yet, but I've been very productive and am well into a new book. This is something different - again! Probably not for the diehard Dr.Wrighting fans, but I think a different audience - maybe a new one for me! - will like it a lot. And it's a lot of fun to write. Of course the finishing touches always stretch out longer than I expect so I won't even guess when I'll be done - I'm not even close to that stage yet - but it's coming together really nicely.

More soon, I hope!

Braces and Beyond - the new book is here!

Exciting news - the new book is finally finished and available!

It's Braces and Beyond and it's another Dr.Samantha Wrighting Novel, this time with yet another twist. I really like it and I think it's another fun way of exploring having braces.

You can get it on Kindle (yes in the UK and Germany and the Netherlands and all those other places too), as well as in an ePub version from Lulu.

I know I can't satisfy all my readers with all my books and those of you looking for more erotic adventures won't find them here but I think it speaks to a lot of readers. It's certainly the kind of novel that I really would have liked to have found when I was an older teen (and beyond that too).

I hope you enjoy it!

Christmas already!

Here I was so close to finishing the next book and I STILL haven't. Life can really get in the way! But hopefully I'll be able to put the final polish on it over Christmas and get it out early in the new year.

Thanks for all your patience readers! And I wish all of you a Merry Christmas and really happy holidays!

Summer vacation

I hope all my readers are enjoying their summer vacations like I am - and that new readers are discovering and enjoying the Dr.Samantha Wrighting books too!

I have been hard at work on the new one and it is going really well. I'm really happy that I have found another creative way of exploring the braces experience. I hope readers like it as much as I do - it is definitely something different, yet again.

Even with visiting family and traveling I am finding more time to write here and there on vacation, so maybe it will even get finished soon. I hope so - even though the writing is a lot of fun too.

Summer update

It's so exciting to see how many readers are enjoying the new book, Braced in Wedlock - and some of the older books too! I hope many more pick them up as summer reading!

It's been busy since I finished the book, but I'm happy to report that I immediately had an idea for the next one, and I've already started on that. I haven't found as much time to get to it as I'd like yet, but maybe when the summer really gets started I can find more time.

And while it's not as much fun as my books ;-) here's a big article about the popularity of braces that you might be interested in America’s obsession with perfecting its teeth

Braced in Wedlock paperback now also on Amazon

I know most readers prefer the Kindle or e-book version, but the paperback of Braced in Wedlock is now also available at Amazon, so if you want a nice printed copy of it.... (It doesn't seem to be available at other retailers like Barnes & Noble yet, but it should be soon. And for now the paperback is weirdly expensive at the foreign Amazons, but I think that pricing will change - and you can always get it at Lulu too.)

No matter what way you read it or where you buy it, I hope you enjoy it!

Have you gotten...Braced in Wedlock yet?

I'm so excited to see that a lot of you have already got Braced in Wedlock! I hope you're enjoying it as much as I enjoyed writing it. I know it's a big book, but I think it's a grand story that deserves all that space. More braces-pleasure on more braced pages too, right?

For a long time the title I had for it was For Better, For Worse, In Braces. I liked that, but I think Braced in Wedlock is better. The wed-lock is so appropriate!

The whole story was a fun thought experiment. This crazy what if? I like books that do that, and I thought this was a really interesting idea to explore. I know a lot of you would probably prefer it if it were just about the sex, but I think the book is more intriguing when it's not that simple and Walter's demand can't be reduced to just that.

I really hope you like it - and that new readers find their way to the whole big Dr.Wrighting library through it. More than a dozen books on braces already!

And if you haven't gotten your copy yet I hope you rush ot and get it. (Well actually, all you need to do is download it to your Kindle - it's available at all the Amazons! US, UK, Canada, Germany, Netherlands, and everywhere else - or get the ePub at Lulu!)
